Today I will tell you about my Lake city THANE
Thane is located to the north east of Mumbai. This district lies in the northwest of Maharashtra state. Arabian sea is to the west, while Gujarat and Nagar Haveli territory are to the north.
Thane is about 25 Kms from the international airport and 35 Kms from the main down town of Mumbai City.There must have been something in the then sleepy character of Thane town in 1853 which prompted the British rulers to build the first Railway line in India between Bombay city and Thane.The establishment of Thane Municipal Council in 1862 for the systematic development of Thane of "THANE" as it was then called, added to it's importance. The Wagle Industrial area in Thane is the biggest industrial area in Asian continent. A great acheivement ! In and around Thane city are some of the major nationally reputed Industrail empires and international giants including Mukand Ltd, Patni Computers, Voltas, Sandoz, Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Raymonds, Nocil, Standard Alkali, Pfizer, Asian Cables, Glaxo , Industry Association like ASPA, CPPA etc.
Thane the City of Lakes has around 30 lakes. The most beautiful of them is the Masunda Talao, also known as Talao Pali. The lake offers boating and water scooter facilities.

TALAO PALI LAKE:
Talao pali lake is also known as Masunda lake, it is so beautiful that you can feast your eyes on its lovely green scenery, this scenic spot attracts people of all ages and groups especially on holidays its teeming with people, its main attractions are boating and water scooters, you can see people boating, water scooting and eating here his place is an eaters paradise, like chow patty in Bombay. You get a wide variety of scrumptious snacks like bata wadas,samosas,bhel puri bhajias,pani puri etc which you can wash down with nariyal pani or various colas, if you have a sweet tooth you can look out for ice golas and ice creams who vie with each other for attention. These are sold on the stalls lining the lake and at the restaurants nearby, people who have the money prefer to eat and enjoy at these restaurants
